This is an old school bus whose interior has been transformed into an RV. This vehicle is referred to as a schoolie. Our schoolie has an International motor, and an Alison transmission. Please note that it is dirtier right now then at the time of the picture because of the pollen here. Also note, there is not a shower or toilet. We take a camping toilet for emergencies since we have small kids.
The left side of the RV bus is mainly the kitchen area. It has a refrigerator, cabinets, drawers, and microwave. There are two electric stripes running down both sides of the bus. Each side of the bus has lights and outlets. Just needs a regular plug at any campsite. The sink uses a regular water hose and can be plugged into any regular faucet at any campsite. The sink drains straight out of the sink through a hose that hangs under the bus right onto the ground, so it is best to have a catch bucket and to use the sink sparingly. In the very back is a full bed.
The right side of the RV bus is mainly sleeping and sitting area. There is a futon and transforms into a full bed. The air conditioner is between the futon and driver's sit. It rolls out and can be moved around. The two space heaters plug in and get the bus toasty fast in the winter!
Behind the futon is the bunk bed and then the full bed is behind that. There is lots of storage space under the beds. The back door of the bus does open up for easy storage access. Also, this has a handicap door near the regular open and shut school doors for easy on and off storage of bikes or other big items. The big door helps to pack and unpack this RV bus fast.
Other bonuses is that there is lots of counter space (as well as storage) and that the passenger seat can swivel around to face the back of the bus. This is such a cool bus! I'm sad that we just don't have the time to use it much.
Asking price is $7,000 for a good home!
Please e-mail katieimann@gmail.com if seriously interested. The bus is in storage in Beaufort, SC.
